Abstract


This study aims to analyze the amount of income of palm sugar craftsmen and analyze the level of welfare of palm sugar craftsmen in Lambo Lemo Village, Samaturu District, Kolaka Regency. This research was conducted in Lambo Lemo Village, Samaturu District, Kolaka Regency. The population in this study were palm sugar craftsmen in Lambo Lemo Village who carried out palm sugar business totaling 30 people. The sample was taken using a census sampling technique by taking the entire population as a sample. Data analysis used income analysis and descriptive analysis to measure the level of welfare of palm sugar craftsmen. The variables in this study are total production costs, revenue, palm sugar business income, and the prosperous and not prosperous categories. The results showed that the income of palm sugar craftsmen in Lambo Lemo Village was quite high, the average income of palm sugar craftsmen was IDR 2,499,656 per month. Based on the welfare category of the criteria of the Central Bureau of Statistics (2014), most of the palm sugar craftsmen are at an unprosperous welfare level of 23 craftsmen or 76.67% and a prosperous level of 7 people or 23.33%, this amount is obtained from the criteria not yet prosperous because it is seen from education and healthy less good and poor nutrition.Keywords: income, palm sugar, welfare
